Sponsor Welcome: Rock My Run
So Hil has been talking to me about Rock My Run for well....a while now. I
have to admit that I'm kinda a creature of habit & while I have gotten SO
MUCH better about expanding my horizons the last few years (Um hello? I moved
over 600 miles away from home to a city where I didn't know anyone...) I do
sometimes still fall into my normal habits. My normal habit being: iTunes
& Nike+
I'm just used to it and I like it.
But Rock My Run rocks a lot of activity on Twitter and
yesterday I was finally intrigued enough (or bored enough from being sick for
the last 5 days) and decided to see what this is all about.
Holyyyyyyyyyyyy Mole. Hil,
I'm sorry I didn't listen/pay attention sooner. I've started out with
the standard membership (read: Free) but can already see myself upgrading to
Premium after I worked out yesterday ROCKING OUT to the most amazing
mash-up/run mix ever. If I tell you it's called "Saved by the
Run" and is all 90's pop music, does that tell you enough? I'm
honestly thinking about the next time I get to work out so I can
listen to it again...

Is my body too bootylicious?
Last night I went to shake what my mama gave me at Zumba. Few things to note:
1. This Zumba class is called b.fab fitness and I'm the minority in the class. It's not your typical Latin-inspired Zumba. This is Bootylicious/Hip Hop/Street dancing Zumba. I'm trying to find someone that can video tape this class because it's awesome.
2. $3 a class. Can't beat that ANYWHERE.
3. Growing up dancing my whole life, this class gives me an outlet into my first love - dancing. Sometimes in the middle of the class, I convince myself to try out for the Titans dance team. Usually by the end when I'm red-faced and out of breath, I've talked myself off that ledge.
4. This is one of THE most intense and amazing workouts. I actually hadn't been since well before training for Disney. The last time I was there was probably...August? BOY DID IT SHOW. Sure, a month ago I ran a HALF MARATHON but 15 minutes into the class last night, I was absolutely convinced we had been zumba'ing for 45 minutes. It's good to be knocked down a few pegs to remind me I'm not totally perfect.
Hopefully I can continue this Monday evening class schedule. Monday's are tough for me, but I'm going to try.
Oh, also I got to rock some Plan G swag, which is always a plus ;)

Race Photos Follow-up
So apparently RunDisney reads our blog! That's really the only way to explain that after last week I posted I was a little bummed they didn't get any pictures of Princess 1983 crossing the finish line holding hands, they sent an email with "More race photos" including this little gem:
I mean...that really is the only way to explain that, right? ;)
